At LATANE, we are committed to the safety of our customers and have made the decision to not use questionable and harmful ingredients in our products. Each ingredient has been meticulously chosen to be a partner in people's journey for a healthier and glowing skin. We avoid using drying, irritating or sensitizing ingredients in our formulas. The last thing we want to do is disrupt the skin essential functions. All our ingredients from the consistency agents and emollients used for texture, to the emulsifiers and actives, have been purposefully picked because of how they can help the skin feel at its best. The preservatives we use to ensure the longevity and to maintain the effectiveness of our products are also approved by organic and natural labels such as Ecocert and COSMOS.

We’ve made it clear that the cleanliness and safety of our ingredients are crucial but so is where they come from. We opt for organic ingredients whenever possible. A considerable percentage of our ingredients are certified organic and/or approved by Ecocert/Cosmos. Our shea butter ( certified organic ), baobab oil and moringa oil are supplied from the Song Taab Cooperative in Burkina Faso. We wanted to support a supplier who makes a positive impact. The Song Taab Cooperative ensures that the women working on the field are paid and cared for adequately, and continuously receive training and insight on agroecology.

Each of our product boxes is recyclable and partially contains recycled materials. Our kraft shipper boxes are made of partially recycled cardboard and recyclable. All the boxes are also printed in North America (USA and Canada) using materials sourced within each local region, resulting in a much lower carbon footprint. Our paper tissue and stickers are eco-friendly, FSC-Certified, made with acid-free paper. Our product cards are also eco-friendly, made with recycled materials and acid-free paper, FSC-Certified, 100% recyclable and compostable. We use soy-based ink for the packaging.

Upcycling our glass packaging by giving them a second life is such a great option. You can use our containers to store your jewelry or q-tips. Additionally, you can recycle the packaging at your nearest recycling center if they accept these materials.
